Beyer Chronometrie's watch-retailing heritage dates to 1760 in Donaueschingen, Germany, and Zurich Tourism calls it the world's oldest watch retailer still trading in Zurich. Beyer has announced a transition at the end of 2026 to a Patek Philippe salon from 2027, after which its eligibility as the same operating watch retailer must be reassessed.
