Overview
Archive NoteVoyager 1 launched on 5 September 1977 and flew past Jupiter and Saturn. Its trajectory took it beyond the earlier Pioneer 10 on 17 February 1998.
It crossed the heliopause in August 2012. NASA projects a distance of one light-day from Earth on 18 November 2026, a future milestone as of 4 November, not an already measured current distance.
