Disagreement and differing conclusions:The 5,913 m value is a builder-reported claim, and about 5,806 m is a separate terrain-model estimate. The measurement locations and vertical height datums have not been reconciled. Geographic WGS84 coordinates alone do not establish a common height datum or a surveyed road summit.

Archive NoteMig La forms part of the Border Roads Organisation's Likaru–Mig La–Fukche road in eastern Ladakh, intended to improve access to remote areas. Construction teams announced the new high pass in early October 2025.
The builder reports 19,400 ft (about 5,913 m), above the earlier certified 5,798.251-m Umling La road, while an independent terrain-model analysis suggests around 5,806 m. The positions and vertical datums underlying these figures are not yet reconciled, so the higher figure remains a contested claim.

DisputedThere is a documented substantive disagreement about measurement, comparison boundaries or the record conclusion.
Basis: documented substantive disagreement
In October 2025 Akashvani relayed the Border Roads Organisation's claim that Mig La is the highest motorable road at 19,400 ft (about 5,913 m). An April 2026 terrain-model assessment by Viewfinder Panoramas suggested about 5,806 m. Precise positions, vertical datums and methods have not been reconciled against each other or the earlier certified Umling La result, so this record is marked disputed.
