Overview
Archive NoteThe match took place on Wimbledon Court 18 and was suspended twice for fading light. Isner eventually won with a deciding fifth set of 70–68.
The fifth set was played without today's final-set tiebreak provisions. Subsequent Wimbledon rule changes make a repeat under the current format less likely; the record belongs to one match, not either player's career aggregate.
