Overview
Archive NoteThe Women's World Cup began in 1991. The metric counts titles in FIFA's official women's national-team competition, separately from the men's tournament and Olympic football.
The US won the inaugural competition in 1991 and its home edition in 1999, then captured consecutive titles in Canada in 2015 and France in 2019. The first title came with a victory over Norway in the 1991 final.
In the 2019 final, the US beat the Netherlands 2–0 with second-half goals from Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle. FIFA's historical list places Germany next with two titles.
