Overview
Archive NoteLineShine is installed at the National Supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen (NSCS), Guangdong, China, and was built by the Shenzhen Cloud Computing Center.
It uses an all-CPU 'Online Acceleration' architecture based on the domestically developed LX2 processor, the proprietary LingQi interconnect and Kylin OS, without relying on GPU accelerators.
El Capitan ranked second on the same list with 1.809 EFLOPS, more than 20% behind LineShine, which also topped the HPCG ranking with 22.00 PFlops.
