Overview
Archive NoteKongō Gumi traces its construction craft to the building and preservation of Osaka's Shitennō-ji temple. Its traditional specialty remains the construction and repair of temples, shrines and other heritage buildings.
The company's own profile gives 578 as its historic origin but 2006 as the date of its current incorporation. The Takamatsu Construction Group inherited its operations, so the distinction is the continuity of a business lineage rather than the uninterrupted existence of one company registration.
